May 2009

Hello Everyone! It has been a while! Time goes by way to FAST, but we thought we would sit down and give you a quick update and share some pictures. We are all looking forward to summer- the kids will be taking a vacation to Texas with Grandma and Grandpa Bruner and doing the normal summer stuff of playing, swimming, relaxing and just having FUN!

We will start with Allison- she is finishing up her first year of high school on Friday (she can't wait)! She is finding out that she really needs to study for finals and she has unfortunately learned the meaning of cramming. She has her dance recital Monday at the music hall. And on May 16th she had her confirmation. Allison has also been driving a little and plans on taking Drivers Education this summer and maybe some babysitting so she can start saving for when she gets a car.

Zach is finishing up 5th grade and will be going to middle school in the fall (he is excited). He had his 5th grade graduation party last week. Zach will be in his talent show again tomorrow singing a song from Shinedown and he recently did a wax museum at school and played the part of Wild Buffalo Bill Cody.
We have him signed up for football also, so in August we will start our hectic schedule again with practice almost every night and games on the weekend!

Keely is growing way to fast, we can't believe she is almost a year old. She is talking up a storm, even though we can't always understand her. (We understand hi, bye, mama, dada, and her favorite word cat- she loves to chase Scooter). Over the past weekend she started to take her first steps without holding on to anything- she gets about 3-4 feet and falls. She loves her daycare friends and Carrie, however we hear she is a binky thief! And if you haven't heard she loves the phone and even made her first phone call a couple weeks ago to 911!

Chris and Nicole have been busy also with the kids and work, however thanks to Melinda we got to take an AWESOME trip to San Francisco. We loved it and we are so proud of her FAIA accomplishment.

We have included a few pictures for you to see, if you want to see more pictures feel free to click on the link a look and the rest! Take care everyone, enjoy the summer and we will try to post some pictures more often!

March 2009

Hello Everyone!
We hope everyone is doing well! We are fabulous!
We just wanted to say thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Eldred, Great-grandma Eldred and Ashlee and Caleb, we had a great time with them and we wish we could have spent more time with them!!! It was great to see everyone!!!
Allison and Zach are busy with school, Keely is busy learning new things and Chris and Nicole are busy with work and taking care of the kids.
Since the last time we posted Allison has received her learners permit and has occasionally gone out driving. Mom hasn't ridden with her yet, however Chris has taken her and says she does great.
Zach has a reading competition at school and we would be surprised if he doesn't make his goal, he loves to read and on most nights reads at least 2 hours.
Keely still isn't crawling, but occasionally she tries to get on her knees and falls. She also has discovered her feet and loves to put them in her mouth while she eats. And the big news that happened last Thursday is she has started to pull her self up on things and try to take a few steps. Who knows she may skip crawling altogether. She is so full of energy and curious about everything.
We have included a link to all the pictures we have taken over the past few months, feel free to look at them.
Take Care Everyone and we will talk to you later!!!
Love,
The Eldreds

December 2008

Hello Everyone!!!
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! We had a great holiday season here at the Eldred House.
Thanksgiving was spent with the Eldred Families from Texas, Indiana and Lincoln, also with Grandma Melinda and Nicole's brother Scott and his son Charles. It was a lot of fun and great to see everyone.
Christmas was busy and fun, but we are glad it is over. We had Christmas Eve here at our house, and after opening presents Christmas morning with Grandma and Grandpa Bruner and Grandma Mel, we spent the rest of the day visiting with other family and friends. It is always nice to see everyone, but it is nice to relax and do nothing after the holidays.
Allison was really excited to get her green IPOD nano and Zach was excited over his football cards especially his Tom Brady Jersey card. Keely loved the wrapping paper- she loved to pull it then try to eat it, she even got mad at mom when she tried taking it away.
Zach was also surprised when Grandma Mel offered to take him on a trip to Tyler, Texas to go and see her sister Aleta and her family. They left Friday and won't be back until Saturday the 3rd.
Time really flies by, Keely will be 6 months on January 1st then Allison will be 15 on the 2nd.
Allison is excited her for her 15th Birthday - she plans on having some friends spend the night and just hang out playing rock band and Wii fit. We are also going to take her Friday to try and get her learners permit which she is excited about, but also very nervous.
Well that is it for now- we have included a link to the pictures we have taken over the holiday- we hope you enjoy them.

We hope everyone has a GREAT NEW YEAR and we look forward to talking and seeing you in 2009!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

11/3/08 Family update

Hello Everyone!!!
We just wanted to post real quick and say hi!
The kids had a great Halloween- the weather was perfect for it! Zach went trick or treating with us for a while then went with his dad. Allison went with her friends and Keely hung out with us and Grandma Bruner. (thanks grandma for watching Keely and handing out treats!) We had approx. 80 kids come to our house. We had fun, but it wasn't the same without Grandma Mel being here and of course we miss the Texas Grandparents as well.
The kids also had fun carving pumpkins- Allison did a face and Zach ,of course, did a football theme.

Zach is almost done with football. He has a Super Bowl game next weekend.

Keely had her 4 month appointment on Thursday and she now weighs 14 pounds 1 oz and is 25-3/4 inches long. She also got her shots and now she has discovered how to scream(when she got her shots), she always talked before, but now to get our attention she does this high pitch scream!!!
Keely also started cereal this past Saturday and it was alot of fun-she did really well and she wanted to do it herself.
We have included a few pictures, but posted a link where you can check out the rest if you would like.

Take care and we will talk to you soon!!!

OCTOBER 2008 UPDATE

HELLO EVERYONE!!!
We hope you all are doing great!!!
It's been awhile-we have been extremely busy with all the kids and their activities.
Chris and Nicole took a little break in September and went to the Nascar race in Kansas city.
Grandma Melinda and Grandma and Grandpa Bruner stayed with the kids and did great!! Thanks to them for all their help. We had a great time, even though it was hard to be away from the kids!!

Allison is enjoying her freshman year in high school. She has been going to football games and went to homecoming(as Chris posted in an earlier post). She had a great time and looked very beautiful. She also just took a trip to San Diego with Grandma Mel and Bruner!
Allison has also learned the meaning of homework and she started her hip-hop dance class which she loves. She is keeping very busy with school, dance, and her social life.

Zach is busy with school and very busy with football. He practices 2 times a week for 2 hours with games on Saturday or Sunday. He plays center on his team, he is doing very well. His favorite thing to do still is collect football cards and play with his friends.

Keely- oh what can we say-there is so much. She is growing so much- yesterday at the doctor she was 12lbs 12oz and 24 3/4 inches. She started daycare in August and now has developed her second cold- the first turned into croup and now laryngitis-it's so sad she can barely talk to us and her cry sounds so weak. Within the last week or two she has started to sleep pretty much through the night- she goes to bed between 8:30-10:00 and sleeps till 4:30-6:00.
She has started to talk to us quit a bit and she is usually a very smiley girl- we feel so lucky she has been totally awesome baby. You can tell her personality is starting to develop- we can tell her likes and dislikes- one of her favorites is her brother-Zach has the knack to make Keely very happy- if he talks to her she goes crazy smiling and laughing at him. Both Allison and Zach are great with her-they are such big helpers and entertainers.
We have included some pictures of the kids also-

That's all for now! Hopefully it won't be so long in between posts. We have alot of things coming up the next few months we are very excited about- Zach's football team will play a Super Bowl game, Halloween-a trip to the Pumpkin patch- and the Holidays!!
Take Care Everyone and Keep in Touch!!!
Love,
The Omaha Eldred's

Allison Homecoming 2008

Here are some photos of the beautiful Ms. Allison. She looked amazing, too bad her terrible parents missed the whole thing. They were at the NASCAR race in Kansas. She had a great time with her grandparents, Melinda and Kathy, who helped out with everything and did a fabulous job. Thanks to them and Dawn for the updo. Here are some pictures of Allison before the dance.
